Happy Teacher's Day! :)

Some cities/provinces in the country are still messed up to now. :(
This country has not recovered yet and now
PAGASA announced that there's another typhoon coming.
Seriously? :(
Oh well, things happen for a reason as what they say.
I'm just scared because this country is so not ready
for yet another super typhoon. :(

On the lighter side,
let us not forget and thank our
teachers, professors, tutors, etc.
for September is the month for teachers! :D

Happy teacher's day to
my professors, previous teachers,
co-teachers, and Auntie Maria! :D

To celebrate the month long festival,
I participated in the Teacher's Day Program
in Sacred Heart School. :)
I helped in the preparation of the program- decorations and all.
And yeah it was also the 6th anniversary of the preschool.
I also performed together with my co-practicumers,
Janine and Maxine.
They sang and I danced. Hahaha
My co-teachers also performed a dance medley.
This is the first time I have seen
a school director actually participated in a school program.
I mean REALLY perform and mingle with us teachers.
It was fantastic! :)
In Filipino words, KARIR! :))
LOVE IT!

And these are my students/babies...
Sophia was absent though.

Wins

Stanley

Emilee

And some of the students from Junior Nursery :)

and a lost kid... Hahahaha
Just kidding. Randall's lil brother

I sure did have fun that day.
I met my students' parents. :D
They are so young and nice. Hehe
I also received a flower from
one of the kinder-prep student, Matthew. :)
I remember my grade school days. Hahaha
I used to give gifts/roses to all of my teachers
during Teacher's Day and now I am the one receiving gifts.
The feeling was unbelievably wonderful.
Teaching is really a work of HEART.

Typhoon Ondoy

It saddens me whenever I watch the television
and see people crying and begging for help.
In one night, everything was gone.
Everything that people worked hard on was ruined.
And the worse part is that they have lost their relatives
because of the flash floods, landslide, and such. :(
How horrible life can be sometimes.
I also heard stories from friends that
the flood went inside their houses and almost ruined
their whole ground floor.
There was also a fire near my house.
Thank God it was 2-3 blocks away. :|
It was raining non-stop.
Everyone's stranded.
The BIG EDSA road became a parking lot
because no car can pass by the neck-deep flood. :(

What shocked me the most is when
one of my co-jazz dancers', Precious, house is
completely wiped out of the map.
All their things are gone.
Home, clothes, gadgets/appliances, food, everything. :(
I'm not sure if they can still get the house back
after the flood goes out, but I doubt that
they will be able to get all their things back.
Tomorrow, all of the LSDC-Jazz old and current members
will be sending relief goods and clothes to Precious and her family.
I'm just worried about her two nieces.
This will be very traumatic for them. :(
I'm just glad they are safe in a motel now.

As for me,
we did not have electricity at home for 1 and a half days.
No water. No electricity.
It almost drove me crazy.
We literally looked for something that we could fix or clean
just to keep ourselves busy. :(
I was able to finish a book,
A Walk To Remember,
in an hour or so.
I was able to clean my electric fan.
I was able to throw out old papers and receipts.
I also was able to let my laptop rest for a day.
Hahaha what an experience!
I'm sure everyone felt the same.
I'm just very thankful that I have a house,
food, clothes, and
FAMILY who will be there in times of need. :)

Be safe everyone
and let's hope for the best. :)

1 Week After

Oh I love Tots and Thoughts Academy!!!
Btw, that's the name of the preschool where
I'm "working."
It's a branch of Sacred Heart School. :)
Anyhooo, we did a lot of things already.
In 1 week,
we were able to house visit Stanley's place
*Topic of the day: parts of the house

Outside SHS building :)
With the hosts and the toddlers
Tiny Tots in the living room:D
Inside the bedroom :)
Kitchen...
where I heard Stanley uttered a word for the first time :D
Yehey for Stanley!

And then we got hungry...

Gotcha!
Some will do everything just to eat. =))

Like this kid right here... Hahaha

Next was the storytelling activity by
ME! :)
Since the theme for this quarter is all about family,
Teacher Karen asked me to read a story
to the toddlers.
I read to them
Hansel and Gretel.
I brought a pop-up book since
the toddlers, for sure,
won't understand the story if it would be too wordy.
They actually loved the book.
They were able to identify the father, mother,
brother, and sister. :)
I didn't read the story verbatim.
What I did was I summarized the book
and then I asked question about
recognition of family members, basic colors, numbers, and shapes.

I think I'll love this term :)
Hmmm...
I'm actually loving and enjoying it now.

♥,
Teacher Gayle

Happy 19th, Monica Villarica!

Happy happy birthday, Mooonikka!!! :)
Monica with her boyfriend Sito

She celebrated her birthday early, actually.
September 18, 2009
at her place in Magallanes Village.
She had a Sober Club + Yellow Cab + Beer party :)
We had fun even though most of the TEAMFAB
did not go. BOO.

Anyway, here are the pictures from her party
and yeah, I don't know why I kept pouting that night.
I was also a bit hyperactive. :))
I kept dancing and dancing. Hahahaha

And this is me eating so much in Mon's party.
I didn't have enough.
After eating lechon and palabok, I ate 2 slices of pizza. :|
Mind you, I ate before going to the party.
Ok Jay... I get it... I'm getting fat... I know. :(
It is not palpable to many, but I don't feel or look
the same as compared to before. :((

Thank you so much, Mon! :)
Your Cebu and Davao friends are nice :D
I had a great night.
Oh wait, WE had a great night.
Love you, Mon!
Happy 19th :D

Sacred Heart School

I officially started my practicum today! :)
Where?
Sacred Heart School at Binondo, Manila
I was assigned to handle the toddlers class,
meaning little children ages 1-3. :)
Tiny Tots... Learning is Play.
Basically, we teach them basic colors, shapes,
sizes, senses, feelings, routines, and all the basic foundation
you can think of. :)

I love my students! ♥

Emilee- look alike of Boo from Monsters Inc.

Sophia- who would not go to the bathroom without me.
Someone needs to be potty trained... :)

Wins- "shy" type but in the end super mega lovable and playful.

Stanley
-
MOST "behaved" as what they told me because
he has speech delay. :(
He's 3yrs old but he can't speak nor chew his food.
He can only say "AH."
I find this child really affectionate and determined.
He listens to every instruction we tell him
even if I see in his eyes that he's having a hard time.

And the Best Picture goes to.....

EMILEE!!!!!
I took her picture during snack time.
She is so adorable.
She really reminds me of Boo the moment I saw her. :)

Btw, Sacred Heart is a skills and knowledge based preschool.
They focus on the abilities of the children and
they are very hands-on with the activities.
They also highly encourage social interaction among all
the age groups- toddlers to senior nursery.
They have a circle time with all of the students are involved. :)
They are also very strict with their school rules.
But I can handle it. *wink*
It's just like the what's hot and what's not in fashion.
Hahahahaha

And last, a video during their nap time...
Little angels trying to sleep until Wins pinched Sophia's face. :|
They are still adorable. :)

20th ♥

100th blog post.

Happy 20th month, my one and only!

We have been tested by time
and we have proven, not just to us but to everyone,
that WE ARE STRONG.
We have reached that level where we trust each other
more than enough. <3

Thank you so much for an awesome breakfast + dinner
and what else? SHOPPING!!!! :D
Well, actually, you did, not me.
That's the first noh? Haha!

And thank you for always being true.
Time flies so fast.
I can still remember the days when you used to call me
"princess."
That was like 2 years ago right? Hahaha
And the day we first held hands in SJ Walk...
I remember you were so proud because finally,
we're officially together and here we are,
celebrating our 20th month, still HH and "perfect fit". <3

I hearts you, love! ♥
Ikaw lang...

I Had You Along the Way

When you are under so much stress,
GO OUT WITH YOUR GIRLFRIENDS!!! :))

I can never replace the people who are true and faithful to me.
No matter how hard life is,
they are there to make a change.

They are there to stand beside me.
They are there not to criticize,

but to encourage;
not to hurt but to love;
and most especially,
they are there because simply they love me for who I am.
I can never replace TEAMFAB,
for they have shown the true meaning of acceptance and honesty.

Tss. Mushy mode again. Harhar

Anyway, I enjoyed those times when we would
just hang-out at Mon and Rika's condo or in a mall
and then we would do all those crazy yet happy things.

* video-making

* photoshoot at Magallanes Village
and then we watched a movie after :)

*Mall of Asia with Monica
- We got bored and decided to binge on food! Hahaha
And yeah we did a bit of "make-up" windowshopping. :P
Mon, you owe me! *wink :P* Just kidding.

* Another performance request with the LPEP 2k9 Team

* Late night hang-out with Nadine at Sports Complex
- We turned into Aldrich fans hahaha
Peace, Aldz :P

Oh TEAMFAB, what's in store for us next term?
Hmmmm...
I wish LESS drama, MORE happy moments! :))
We're happy always naman, right gurls? *wink wink*
