Unsa Naa Unya? (What's Up Later?) Part 1

Picturesque, white sand beaches..
Free from taint environment..
Sumptuous meals..
Uncrowded, busy streets..
Easy-breezy life..
True-blue friends..
and
A boyfriend who puts in great EFFORT and LOVE..

I definitely left my heart in Davao.

4th of May
As soon as I finished work, I hurriedly went to NAIA Terminal 3 to catch my 6pm flight. And yes, the traffic congestion in the runway and what not killed all the excitement. Flight got delayed for half an hour and to make things worse, we spent an hour or so inside the plane. I arrived at 9:30pm instead of 8pm. BOO. But hey, I am still glad I landed safe and sound. The moment I stepped out of Davao International Airport, my heart SMILED.

5th of May
Oh hello, Samal Island! We went to the ever-so-famous Vanishing Island and Monfort Bat Cave (Asia's Top2 largest number of bats, I think). I fell in love with the tiny island the moment I saw its clear water and white sand. Coconut drink to quench our thirst and mouth-watering Lechon & chicken for lunch. Ah, the good life!

6th-8th of May:
We visited Julian's hometown- Mati, Davao Oriental. It is also known as The Land of the Lopezes and Rabats. It feels so good to be back here and feel the cool water of Dahican and Mayo once again. I think the second time is always the sweetest. We went to a secluded island called Waniban. I never thought I would be able to overcome my fear of swimming in the deep blue sea. I know I WILL REGRET if I let the chance pass by and so, I conquered my phobia. It was not SO scary after all. A check mark to one of the things I listed down in my bucket list.

I learned how to appreciate the beauty of nature down under. There were a lot of unknown creatures and fishes that I have seen. Nirvana, indeed! Walking around the small island for half an hour made me appreciate life and its beauty even more.

After spending the whole morning in the island, we headed back to Gregorio Island and Resort. This is the second part of the adventure. I jumped off from a 3-storey nipa hut to the sea. I got a lot of bruises after, but hey, it was worth every second- one of the GREATEST kinds of happiness.

A sumptuous dinner was hosted by the provincial governor at her house. Would you believe she has cows for pets? How cute! :)) This is the third time I'm having Lechon. Even though I do not gain weight that fast, I still wonder how many calories have I consumed for those days I have eaten roasted pig. The skin is just so tempting! Thank you so much, Governor Malanaon.

Talking about grown up stuff over dinner made me realize that I am, in fact, one of them already. Haha! No one can blame a preschool teacher if she is a child at heart. ;) They were talking about politics since Julian's family is a political family in Mati. Love problems and marriage were also their hot topics for the night. Of course, many can relate and have learned. *wink* I have been educated a lot in one night. This made me know Julian's family even more. I am loving them even more.

After the 3-day trip to Mati, we went back to the city to practice with Lord's Artwekz. Training with them was so inspiring. They are FREAKING good. Thank you, guys, for using my choreography in the upcoming Groovestylez 9. The girls are smokin' hot! Keep it up. Support all the way from Manila. :)
