Be True, Be You

Sincere/Honest/Unpretentious
(Source: Merriam-Webster Dictionary)

-
free of dissimulation
- marked by genuineness
- stresses absence of hypocrisy, feigning, or any falsifying embellishment or exaggeration

Sometimes, I just can't stand the way people act nowadays.
They would imitate some icon and
would forget their own personality.

It is NOT bad to look up
to people who have achieved
so much in their lives;

however, there is a difference between
copying/biting and being inspired.

Lying to oneself or to someone
is not just for one's own convenient.
Reasons for doing so?
- greediness
- to fit in
- to look powerful
- to oppress other people

Its intrinsic meaning has been neglected by many.
They failed to consider
external manners, rational emotion, good conscience, and self-consistency.

What would the other person feel if you are insincere to him/her?
Hurt?
Nah, that's an understatement.
betrayed sounds more like it...
