1st movie date with TeamFab

and obviously, we chose a chick flick for our girls day/night out. HAHA!

I kind of regret watching it though.

Don't get me wrong. It is not because of the movie.

I just did not like what I personally felt after watching it.

Truth has to be told. It is a must-see movie.

Everyone can relate because as the cliche goes,

"Love makes the world go round."

When love hits you, 

you know nothing about BOUNDARIES and LIMITS.

Who would not fall for a girl like Kara Zalderiaga (Anne Curtis)- 

gorgeous, successful, and alluring?

And with Ram Escaler's (Derek Ramsay) charisma, handsome face,
 and jaw-dropping body,

any girl will try to be in his wife's, Charmaine (Cristine Reyes), place.
This is a typical love triangle story executed breathtakingly
by 3 of the most beautiful actors in the country.

What would you do if the only person
you love is not destined to be with you?
Kara fought for that love and yet,
she wind up losing the battle.
Just like any other love story,
ONLY one has to suffer the most.

I wasn't able to control my tears while watching this movie.
Every dialogue hit me like a bull's eye.
Even though, the story is not exactly the same as "my story,"
I just felt terrible seeing how things appeared
so drastically heartbreaking
and seeing all the could-have-beens, it was awful.
The movie is a mixture of romance, heartache, and satire.
 Thanks to Carmi Martin for her
outstanding humour in the film! Haha
It somehow turned the intense scenes into comedic ones.
And can I just say that Anne Curtis was incredibly gorgeous
and sophisticated in this film?
I love her swimsuit, cover ups, and dresses!
Over-all, I give this movie an A.
Good actors.
Outstanding script.
And of course,
a perfect story where
everyone can relate their love story to.

This is one of the greatest dance films ever created.

Discipline and perfection-

two words that best describe a life of a ballerina.

Nina Sayers (Natalie Portman) has been in the NYC ballet company

for years and the break she's been waiting for

is about to happen.

The artistic director, Thomas Leroy, of the ballet company,

decided to do a remake of the Swan Lake

and he was looking for a new prima ballerina.

Yes, Nina is the new Swan Queen;

however, she has a problem-

her pureness and naivete character in a dangerous role

as a black swan don't mesh well.

The role is, in fact, perfect for a colleague, Lily.

Nina tried to prove Thomas wrong.

To portray both the white and black swan flawlessly,

Nina discovered a part of her that

she never thought she was- reckless and dangerous.

"It’s about a girl who gets turned into a swan and

she needs love to break the spell,

but her prince falls for the wrong girl so she kills herself."

The movie was able to give me chills down my spine.

This suspense-drama movie was able to portray

how both perfectionist and schizophrenic fight his/her own pet peeves.

My mind wouldn't really function well after watching the film because

some scenes were REALLY intense and heart-stopping.

The camera angles were also good, I must say.

My favorite scene was the part where she, psychologically,

turned into the black swan and gracefully executed the dance.

It was beyond perfection.

I also like the idea that it was able to change my mood

from time to time.

Natalie Portman did a great job in this movie!

And Mila Kunis, as always, is so hot. :)

Belle

Yes, I am a big fan of Beauty and the Beast

ever since I was a little kid.

I always dream of having a prince charming.

I also despises witches, monsters, villains and such because

I don't like seeing the princess and their prince charming

getting hurt and being oppressed. :))

Anyway, here's a photo of Belle.

I found this in tumblr and when I saw the caption,

I told myself: "Yeaps, that's me!"

And of course, I do believe in happy endings. :">

Well actually,

I believe in "they live happily ever after..."

I Love You Goodbye

I Love You Goodbye is one of the entries in the

Metro Manila Film Festival- an annual film festival in the Philippines.

It ranked number 2 out of 7 or8 entries.

The movie has start-studded cast:

Gabby Concepcion

Angelica Panganiban

Kim Chiu

Derek Ramsay

and is directed by one of the top film-makers in the country,

Laurice Guillen.

The movie is about a complicated love story of a girl named Lizelle

who is torn between her "past" and "present."

This movie shows how a person can forgive

even after his/her heart got really broken

and that love is sweeter the second time around.

It's just too bad that at the end,

one has to let go.

I wasn't expecting for the movie to end like that.

I was a bit disappointed but still, the movie is worth watching. :)

However, I should have watched this with my girlfirends.

There is too much love scenes in the film

and I felt awkward

because I watched it with my dad. Haha

Awesome Sunday With You

It has been one hella week for Jay and I,
but we still managed to unwind a bit. :))
We ate lunch, watched a movie, and went to the salon.
Not our typical Sunday.
Hahahaha

So anyway, we did our hair at Vivere Salon.
The best place to cut and treat your hair.
It is not that expensive as compared
to other salons around Manila and the people there are super nice. :)
I decided to trim my hair since it is near my waist already
and Jay dyed his to get ready for Remix'09.
He also trimmed his hair to get that extra oomph. ;p

After our salon treatment, we watched a movie- Fame.

This was recommended by my good friend Monica. :)
This movie is a remake of Fame 1980 version
about the life of performing artists.
Such an awesome movie!
I want to recommend this most especially
to my co-performing artists in DLSU.
You'll be inspired, swear. :)
This movie really tells the life of
performing artists like us
and how much we love what we are doing.
In this movie,
you'll see every drama behind success,
tears before improving, and
trials before achieving the goals.

Here's one of the teasers of the movie:

played the piano and sang "Try."
And my favorite dance performance- very sexy modern jazz. :)

This is really a nice way to release stress. :)
I enjoyed every minute of it.

Good Vibes Day

Intense.
Depressing.
Heartbreaking.


It made me cry like a baby.
I watched the movie in Greenbelt 3 with Monica and Rika.
The movie was both emotional and humorous.
The story plot is also good.
The ending was sad.
I like how the movie played the audience's emotions.
In the first part, you can hear everyone was giggling and
then suddenly, everyone's quiet and crying.
Over-all I rate the movie 9 out of 10.

In the first part of the movie,
most of the scenes were funny
esp. the part where Clare and Henry
first met in the meadows.
Little Clare was so adorable.

Then came the heavy part...
I started crying when Henry had a conversation
with his mother in the subway.
I felt really bad for Henry.
I cannot forget the look on his mom's face-
innocent and loving.
I broke down during the New Year's Eve scene
where Clare was sitting on Henry's lap.
They know his death was coming.
My heart ached when they said these lines.
Clare: Why did you let me invite all these people?
Henry: Because I don't want yo to be alone.
All Clare's life, Henry was not permanently there.
She was always left alone
and now, Henry will be gone for real. :((

In the last part,
I cried even more because Henry came back.
I love the part where they were both running towards each other.
I thought at first that the moment
they reach each other's arms, Henry will disappear.
I was praying it won't happen
and it didn't. :)
They were still able to say their good-byes and stuff.
And when Henry was about to time-travel again,
Alba, their daughter, was right behind him.
The thought that Alba is there
gave Clare hope and strength that even without Henry,
there will always be someone or something
that would bind them together.

I love the movie. :)

I Found My "Henry" Already

I can't wait to see the movie
The Time Traveler's Wife
now that I saw the trailer.
I'm so excited!
I'm sure it'll be a good movie. :)

Anyway, I saw the trailer
last Sunday when Jay and I watched G.I. Joe.
I was so shocked to see Rachel McAdams
as the lead actress in the movie.
I always remember her as Regina George
in Mean Girls with Lindsay Lohan. Hahaha
She's quite good actually.
I also find her very pretty esp.
now that she's brunette.
I can't wait! RAR.
