Step By Steph's Photoshoot

I just got home an hour ago from the studio.
Gah. So tiring but I really had fun. :)
The theme this year is movies.
Everyone is required to have an individual shot
and since I am one of the faculty members,
I really MUST have a solo photo.
At first, I was Renee Zellweger from Chicago,
then Laurence and Steph suggested Tinkerbell.
To be honest, I wanted to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast,
but my student will use that character already.

I ended up being Megara from the Disney film Hercules.
I am actually surprised that I was able to pull the character off.
Most of the people who saw me earlier said
I kind of resemble the real character-
attitude, poise, and features. Teehee! YAY! :3

So this is her...

And me?
I'll post it next time
when I get the soft copy version of the pictures. ;)

I just want to say thank you to
Baby Relly in helping me find and fix my dress and accessories,
Rein for shaping my eyebrows
just to give my goddess-like make up an extra oomph,
and of course,
Mommy Steph for all these opportunities.

Contemporary class earlier was dope-ass.
Real talk.
The group shot was also VERY statuesquely!
White foundation...
Nude lipstick...
Beige leotards...
Tableau...
Oh gosh.
I cannot wait to see the souvenir program
of the dance recital this year! :)

Excited for tomorrow's pictorial:
My babies- HIPHOP KIDS.
Movie theme for group shot?
Madagascar.

Good Friday

I woke up super late today and didn't get
to do much.
Since it's a Good Friday,
no mall or any chill-out place is open. BOO. :|
So we went to the church instead- San Sebastian Recoletos.
It was my first time to visit the church and yes,
as the traditional thing goes on,
I made a wish. :)
The church has a European-inspired structure.
I was in awe the moment I entered the sacred place.
It's just so beautiful and holy.
I didn't get to take photos of the church, though.
We will go back there on Sunday and will definitely
take a LOT. Teehee! :D

Anyway, I was surprised to see a long queue of people
the moment I went in the church.
I thought there was a mass on going,
but to my surprise, people lined up to kiss, touch, and pray on
the statue of Jesus Christ inside a casket.
My grandmother asked me to line up with her
and I told her I don't want to.
Being the agnostic me, I will not worship on statues.
I am a Roman Catholic, yes; however,
exposed to different religions and
grew up in a non-sectarian school
made me realize that I need not worship the One Above
by JUST going to the church nor praising the statues.
Anywhere or everywhere, I can pray and call upon Him.
That's just me. :)

We went home and
for the first time after 3 days, I ate a sumptuous meal.
And since I got too lazy to start on my to-do list,
I had a movie marathon and camwhored a bit. ;)

So yeah... Here are the pictures :3

Faaaaayyyyaaaaahhh!

This is one of those days when I would take a break
from dancing and school stuff.
Pamper-Me Day!!! Yay. :D:D:D
I went to Eye Nail Salon, just across La Salle (2f Archer's Nook Bldg.),
and had my nails done.
Since I'm a regular customer,
the staff there always update me with the latest ish
about nail polishes and nail arts.
They have a whole new bunch of colors and designs. ;)
I was torn between getting a nail art or a matte nail polish.

I ended up choosing the RED matte nailpolish. >:)
It looks so foxy and classy. I love it!
I also like how they clean my nails.
They are so careful and tedious in doing the manicure and pedicure.

Check out my photos:

Next time, I'll try the gel nails (French nail-ish type). ;)
Weeeeeeeeee!
Thank you so much to Eye Nail Salon.
I'm a very happy and contented customer. :D

Butterfly

I don't need to repeat this
BUT yes,
I LALALOVE BUTTERFLIES. <3>

And Accessorize made me VERY happy today.
I have been eyeing this coin purse for months and
I get very frustrated each and every time
I pass by the store
and I don't buy it.
It's just so damn expensive for a purse. :|
It's a rectangular-shaped purse filled with
sequins and beads.
And finally, it's on sale.
From P530 to P159.. ;)
It's worth the wait.
Told you guys I won't be wanton spending anymore. *wink*

And to complete this marvelous shopping day,
I was also able to buy a necklace and a charm bracelet.
Yes, the design of those two is a butterfly.

Some say it's addiction
but I say it's collection. ;)

Awesome Sunday With You

It has been one hella week for Jay and I,
but we still managed to unwind a bit. :))
We ate lunch, watched a movie, and went to the salon.
Not our typical Sunday.
Hahahaha

So anyway, we did our hair at Vivere Salon.
The best place to cut and treat your hair.
It is not that expensive as compared
to other salons around Manila and the people there are super nice. :)
I decided to trim my hair since it is near my waist already
and Jay dyed his to get ready for Remix'09.
He also trimmed his hair to get that extra oomph. ;p

at Art's Cream Gallery
Our stylist, Peng, putting wax on Jay's hair

And me waiting for Jay :)

After our salon treatment, we watched a movie- Fame.

This was recommended by my good friend Monica. :)
This movie is a remake of Fame 1980 version
about the life of performing artists.
Such an awesome movie!
I want to recommend this most especially
to my co-performing artists in DLSU.
You'll be inspired, swear. :)
This movie really tells the life of
performing artists like us
and how much we love what we are doing.
In this movie,
you'll see every drama behind success,

tears before improving, and
trials before achieving the goals.

Here's one of the teasers of the movie:
My favorite scene where Marco
played the piano and sang "Try."

And my favorite dance performance- very sexy modern jazz. :)

This is really a nice way to release stress. :)
I enjoyed every minute of it.
Thank you so much, Jay. <3

I Had You Along the Way

When you are under so much stress,
GO OUT WITH YOUR GIRLFRIENDS!!! :))

I can never replace the people who are true and faithful to me.
No matter how hard life is,
they are there to make a change.

They are there to stand beside me.
They are there not to criticize,

but to encourage;
not to hurt but to love;
and most especially,
they are there because simply they love me for who I am.
I can never replace TEAMFAB,
for they have shown the true meaning of acceptance and honesty.

Tss. Mushy mode again. Harhar

Anyway, I enjoyed those times when we would
just hang-out at Mon and Rika's condo or in a mall
and then we would do all those crazy yet happy things.

* video-making

* photoshoot at Magallanes Village
and then we watched a movie after :)

*Mall of Asia with Monica
- We got bored and decided to binge on food! Hahaha
And yeah we did a bit of "make-up" windowshopping. :P
Mon, you owe me! *wink :P* Just kidding.

* Another performance request with the LPEP 2k9 Team

* Late night hang-out with Nadine at Sports Complex
- We turned into Aldrich fans hahaha
Peace, Aldz :P

Oh TEAMFAB, what's in store for us next term?
Hmmmm...
I wish LESS drama, MORE happy moments! :))
We're happy always naman, right gurls? *wink wink*

Twirl, Swirl, Curl

No one knows this but
when I was still a toddler (3 years old, I think),
I had curly locks.
My momma and papa decided to shave my hair
so as to straighten it.

17 years of
long/short/mid, black, with or without bangs,
and straight locks,
I now bring back what I truly have-
curly hair. :)

I went to Vivere Salon to perm my hair.
The staff were very nice and bubbly. :)
I was so scared when I went there, by the way.
This is the first time I will
let a stylist put chemicals in my hair. :))
Anyway, here is the process
which took 2 and a half hours. :D
Just leave a comment (click "holla me" below) or pm me
so I'll know watcha think of my new hair. :D

Mushroom

My first ever belly ring got broken. :(
But...
A new ring was added to my collection. :)
I bought it from Freeway.

Here are some pictures of my new belly ring. :)

Mushroom! :D
