Step By Steph's Photoshoot

I just got home an hour ago from the studio.
Gah. So tiring but I really had fun. :)
The theme this year is movies.
Everyone is required to have an individual shot
and since I am one of the faculty members,
I really MUST have a solo photo.
At first, I was Renee Zellweger from Chicago,
then Laurence and Steph suggested Tinkerbell.
To be honest, I wanted to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast,
but my student will use that character already.

I ended up being Megara from the Disney film Hercules.
I am actually surprised that I was able to pull the character off.
Most of the people who saw me earlier said
I kind of resemble the real character-
attitude, poise, and features. Teehee! YAY! :3

So this is her...

And me?
I'll post it next time
when I get the soft copy version of the pictures. ;)

I just want to say thank you to
Baby Relly in helping me find and fix my dress and accessories,
Rein for shaping my eyebrows
just to give my goddess-like make up an extra oomph,
and of course,
Mommy Steph for all these opportunities.

Contemporary class earlier was dope-ass.
Real talk.
The group shot was also VERY statuesquely!
White foundation...
Nude lipstick...
Beige leotards...
Tableau...
Oh gosh.
I cannot wait to see the souvenir program
of the dance recital this year! :)

Excited for tomorrow's pictorial:
My babies- HIPHOP KIDS.
Movie theme for group shot?
Madagascar.

Dating Article for The Gazette

One of the first articles I have written for the magazine.

I just had to post this because of my good friend, Archie. :))

7 Dos and Don’ts for Men on a First Date

1. Do not try too hard. Just be yourself!

- Just keep it real and you’ll be fine. Pretending someone you are not will only ruin everything. Confidence is the key!

2. Be a gentleman.

- Simple gestures (e.g. opening the door for her) will make her feel really special. There is nothing more important than being respectful and caring.

3. Do bring dental supplies with you.

- You do not want a small chunk of meat in between your teeth, don’t you? Besides, you’ll never know what awaits you at the end of the date.

4. Sense of humor will win a girl’s heart any day!

- They say laughter is good for the heart. J

5. A good conversation will ALWAYS lead you to a 2d date.

- Don’t be self-centered! Ask questions and feel free to comment on her stories. Who knows, both of you might have the same interests and hobbies. Be ready with your notebook to take down notes because this is your chance to know what her likes and dislikes.

6. Don’t get too personal.

- Talking about personal things is a big no-no on a first date. Keep things light and mysterious.

7. Do not talk about your ex-lover.

- Avoid initiating this topic unless she asks. Keep it brief. You do not want insecurity and bad impressions to occur, right?

Easter Sunday

Spent the day going to different churches...

~ Binondo Church
~ Manila Cathedral
~ San Agustin Church
~ Baclaran Church

Just had a lot in mind for quite sometime
and visiting the churches today helped me
achieve the peace of mind
that I was looking for for the past few weeks. :)

P.S.
There was a wedding on going when we went to San Agustin Church. :)

Happy Easter, everyone!

And yes I lit 3 candles... :">

Truth Is

I have to admit...
I do miss you. A lot.
But I WILL NOT do anything about it.
I will not complicate things anymore
nor make you feel more awkward than now.
I just want to stay true to myself and heck what people would say.

I miss you.
This...
Us...
Everything.

Good Friday

I woke up super late today and didn't get
to do much.
Since it's a Good Friday,
no mall or any chill-out place is open. BOO. :|
So we went to the church instead- San Sebastian Recoletos.
It was my first time to visit the church and yes,
as the traditional thing goes on,
I made a wish. :)
The church has a European-inspired structure.
I was in awe the moment I entered the sacred place.
It's just so beautiful and holy.
I didn't get to take photos of the church, though.
We will go back there on Sunday and will definitely
take a LOT. Teehee! :D

Anyway, I was surprised to see a long queue of people
the moment I went in the church.
I thought there was a mass on going,
but to my surprise, people lined up to kiss, touch, and pray on
the statue of Jesus Christ inside a casket.
My grandmother asked me to line up with her
and I told her I don't want to.
Being the agnostic me, I will not worship on statues.
I am a Roman Catholic, yes; however,
exposed to different religions and
grew up in a non-sectarian school
made me realize that I need not worship the One Above
by JUST going to the church nor praising the statues.
Anywhere or everywhere, I can pray and call upon Him.
That's just me. :)

We went home and
for the first time after 3 days, I ate a sumptuous meal.
And since I got too lazy to start on my to-do list,
I had a movie marathon and camwhored a bit. ;)

So yeah... Here are the pictures :3

10 Things I Hate About You

I hate the way you talk to me,
And the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car,
I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots
And the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick,
It even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way you’re always right,
I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh,
Even worse when you make me cry
I hate it when you’re not around,
And the fact that you didn’t call
But mostly I hate the way I don’t hate you,
Not even close…
Not even a little bit…
Not even at all

The Stages

Strangers, AGAIN.

This really hit the bull's eye! :(
Watching this made me feel like I was back in 2007-2009.
Reminiscing now that I have fully moved on,
it makes me smile.
Of course, I cried because I saw in the film
the arguments that
could have been prevented,
the things could have done during the downhill,
and most importantly,
the unforgettable memories shared.
At least, now I know what to do. :)

I see that every relationship is a cycle.
Sometimes, it's a vicious cycle where
two people are just running around in circles; or
in some cases, they end up being good friends again.

Whatever cycle may that be,
I am more than glad to say that
I have gone through the stages and
I have learned a lot.

And yes, I am ready to love and be loved AGAIN. :)

Crazy Little Thing Called Love Part 7

This part of the movie made me cry so BAD.
11:17-14:43, FTW!
The body built..
The way the guy character appreciates things..
The eyes..
The lips..
TSK. :|

A Thai romantic comedy movie about two people
who love each other, but never get the chance to tell
one another.

"... Why does our time never match?"

To Make You Feel My Love

I want to make a contemporary dance for this song. :')

Nothing But Up

"Love the sinner. Hate the sin."

One of the best krump sessions I have attended
and indeed, it hit me straight to the heart.
Nothing will ever compare to what I always feel
after every session.
With all the loving, sharing, expressing, and praising,
damn, should I ask for more?

Thank You.

Chaînés, Cycling Shorts, and Shooting Stars

And finally,
I was able to do the ONLY thing that would satisfy
my hunger for dancing- contemporary.
Going back to my root of dancing made me feel whole and complete
yet again.
It is just so amazing.
So inspiring.

After the class yesterday,
I suddenly realized that this is like my debut after a year of
absence in the arts community.
I feel like a little kid- so excited and innocent.
I almost forgot the vocabulary and different forms & gestures.
Oh gosh. This is making me cry.
I miss those days when I was still in college dancing for
La Salle Dance Company.
Every week, we would have performance requests.
Our MWF dance classes where I used to wear
cycling shorts and off-shoulder/tight-fitting shirts.
And the best of all? Annual concert.
I miss everything. :')
Yesterday, I was so glad to be with them again;
only this time it's for Step by Steph's recital on May 28, 2011.
Still, it feels like I was back in the days.

We ended at around 10-ish and Mommy Steph & I
went to her place to change for our late night bonding.
While walking to her house,
WE SAW A SHOOTING STAR.
Yes. I. Did. For. The. First. Time. In. My. Life.
I couldn't believe my eyes because it was
exquisitely beautiful and breath-taking.
So fast and amazing...
If only my eyes could take a photo of it...
It's luminous color made it really unbelievable- light blue-ish/silver.
And of course, I did not forget to make a wish. :">

And to end my day,
I received a text message from
one of my handful trusted friends, Phil.
It says:

"Happiness is good for the body.
But sorrow is good for the spirit."
-Bruce Lee

And I get to dance, laugh, and just chill
with my Mommy Steph, Katie, and Yo.
We really had an awesome day and night. :)

Good things come when you least expect them.
Thank you, Lord, for these wonderful gifts.

KThanksBye

I feel like I am back in 2006.
Same reason why I turned my back on my parents..
Same situation happened after doing that..
And same reason why I got hurt..

My friends know and definitely keep in mind that
one of my principles in life is that
I will NEVER lie for my own benefit.
nor to hurt anyone. FULLSTOP.

I also just realized that there is a fine line between
being safe in situations and telling the truth.
Truth hurts as what they say.
I am not denying that I also have my faults,
but who said life comes with instructions?
But, one thing I know I am doing right is that
I speak the truth.
It's not letting the cat out of the bag
because that's gossiping.
But would you deny the fact to a person if
the only answer is the truth?
Think about it.

I love them with all my heart, nonetheless.
They have been a part of me that I cannot let go- family.
That will remain as it is.
I can only do so much.
I can only hope for the better.

Of Tumblr Posts and Krump Tracks

They say distance is a big factor in a relationship or
in a friendship per se.
I do not believe in that because a friend will always be a friend
no matter how far s/he may be.

I have this friend,
Archie (consider him as one of my overseas close friends),
from the US and he took a short break
from all the drama-rama of his life.
We were skyping a few weeks ago
and surprised me with the good news-
he's really coming home.

So anyway, this time, as compared to last year,
we were able to really hang out a lot.
We have had krump, drinking, and chill-out sessions.
And I just realized that we really do have a LOT in common.
We share the same interests (EATING, pandas, and of course, krump!)
and we are both in the same page,
intellectually and emotionally wise.
I mean, we do chat and all that when he was in the US,
but being with the person physically gives you
the chance to actually know
the person more.
Yes, he is definitely one of my brothas-from-anotha-motha! :))

Thank you for considering me as one of your best friends here.
We've shared a lot of thoughts and I could really say,
you're one of those people who are trustworthy and worth-keeping.
Wag na emo, mag-Tumblr nalang, please! ;)
Thank you, also, for believing and constantly reminding me
of who I really am and what I can do. :')
Your humility and warm-heart will bring you
the "right one" one day.
We already miss you. I'll see you soon.
Effin' distance. SKYPE LEZZZGGOOO! :D :D :D
Good times, bro. Good times. *hug*

Psalm 18:6

"The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise,
and I am saved from my enemies.
The cords of death entangled me;
the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.
The cords of the grave coiled around me;
the snares of death confronted me.
In my distress I called to the LORD;
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him, into his ears."
