Termbreak Is Coming! :)

I can wait no more.
1 more day and I'm free from stress. :)
I thought I will never make it.
But whoa, I didn't know I was that determined
to finish all those things.
I barely got any sleep.
I feel like a ghost walking down the corridor of Andrew Building.

Just one more day. :)
I hope I pass my 11 subjects hehe
I'm sure I'll pass and get good grades,
but who knows something unexpected happens...

Anyway, I'm excited for my practicum!
We will start late this week or early next week.
WEEEEEEEEEE!!
HELLO PRESCHOOL :D

The Term Is About To End

This week is hell week for me. :(
This is the first time I have ever crammed
and have gotten really tired because of writing
papers, doing projects, and all those stuff.
What do you expect?
I have 11 subjects. :(
My brain needs to rest.
Too tired to function.

Anyway, I just need to take this out of my chest
or else I'm going crazy already.
Haha kidding. :P
No, seriously, this is so stressful.
BIGTIME. :|

3 more days...
Oh good Lord.
Let this week end. Please. :(

Good Vibes Day

Intense.
Depressing.
Heartbreaking.

It made me cry like a baby.
I watched the movie in Greenbelt 3 with Monica and Rika.
The movie was both emotional and humorous.
The story plot is also good.
The ending was sad.
I like how the movie played the audience's emotions.
In the first part, you can hear everyone was giggling and
then suddenly, everyone's quiet and crying.
Over-all I rate the movie 9 out of 10.

In the first part of the movie,
most of the scenes were funny
esp. the part where Clare and Henry
first met in the meadows.
Little Clare was so adorable.

Then came the heavy part...
I started crying when Henry had a conversation
with his mother in the subway.
I felt really bad for Henry.
I cannot forget the look on his mom's face-
innocent and loving.
I broke down during the New Year's Eve scene
where Clare was sitting on Henry's lap.
They know his death was coming.
My heart ached when they said these lines.
Clare: Why did you let me invite all these people?
Henry: Because I don't want yo to be alone.
All Clare's life, Henry was not permanently there.
She was always left alone
and now, Henry will be gone for real. :((

In the last part,
I cried even more because Henry came back.
I love the part where they were both running towards each other.
I thought at first that the moment
they reach each other's arms, Henry will disappear.
I was praying it won't happen
and it didn't. :)
They were still able to say their good-byes and stuff.
And when Henry was about to time-travel again,
Alba, their daughter, was right behind him.
The thought that Alba is there
gave Clare hope and strength that even without Henry,
there will always be someone or something
that would bind them together.

I love the movie. :)
Thank you Rika and Monica for watching it with me
even if we were seated in 3 different rows. :(
I had a great night.

gonna be a good night... that tonight's gonna be
a good night..."

Epic fail. NOT. :D
Thank you TEAMFAB. :)

Cultural Arts Office's Awards Night 2009

CAO's annual awards night
was smooth and short.
It was held at the DLSU's Sports Complex.
Yeah I know, the place is not so appropriate
for our superb chic outfit. Haha
Anyway, the theme was fashion show with a twist.
As I have mentioned in my previous post,
LSDC-Jazz/Contemporary's twist was either belt or suspenders.
We, TEAMFAB, were fashionably late, as usual.
Good thing I was right on time.
I was asked to present an award with Matthew.
We were seated at the back so I can't remember who won what. :(
I just heard the group's scream
when they were announced as the winner.
But yeah, congratulations to all the winners
esp. LSDC-Street and Harlequin Theater Guild
for taking home 2-3 awards that night. :)

Everyone was gorgeous and handsome. :)
Go ahead and take a look. *wink*

Last Minute Shopping For CAO Awards Night

DLSU's very own Cultural Arts Office
will have its annual awards night later tonight
at Enrique Razon Sports Complex.
Ok, I know. Sports Complex. Awards Night.
And the theme is Fashion Show With A Twist.
Great.
The place is SO NOT suitable for the theme.
Who would be inspired to dress up
in an event held at a school's conference room?
No one.
Do we have a choice?
No. :(

Here we are so stressed on what to wear
tonight...
On a good note, our "twist" is easy to buy/get/wear-
belts or suspenders.
We all decided to wear chic, eye-catchy, and big belts
that are on the latest trend nowadays.
That should inspire us... :)

Yesterday, I went to MOA (SM Mall of Asia)
with Nadine and Lucky to look
for a top to match my black miniskirt.
I also helped them in looking for their "twists."
We walked around the HUGE mall
and were able to buy
the ones we really like.
Oh wait except Nadine. :|
She got a white, patent obi belt that has stains on it.
It was the perfect belt for her black dress,
but the shop didn't have new stocks for it.
She still bought it since there was no other option.
We would just try to make it look as clean as possible. :(
Lucky was able to buy two vintage-y rings.
Me likey!!! esp. the green one :D
And then, I bought a purple top
from Terranova.
I love it! :D
Plus it's so cheap (50% off, i think)
Gayle is VERY happy. ;p
We all are, actually.
After walking around and buying the necessary things,
we got hungry and ate at Sbarro. :)

Checklist for CAO Awards:
dressy top: OK!
sexy skirt: OK!
heels/wedges/flatforms: OK!
accessories: OK!
hairstyle: Pending.
make-up: Pending.

And oh, I almost forgot!
While going in and out of boutiques,
we saw this huge poster inside F&H (Folded and Hung).
Apparently, it quickly caught our eyes because
it was VERY DISTURBING- in a good way. :P
Right, Lucky?

Here's the poster. Kudos to F&H!
They were able to make people go in the shop.
Well, mostly girls.Haha!

Us girls :)

I Found My "Henry" Already

I can't wait to see the movie
The Time Traveler's Wife
now that I saw the trailer.
I'm so excited!
I'm sure it'll be a good movie. :)

Anyway, I saw the trailer
last Sunday when Jay and I watched G.I. Joe.
I was so shocked to see Rachel McAdams
as the lead actress in the movie.
I always remember her as Regina George
in Mean Girls with Lindsay Lohan. Hahaha
She's quite good actually.
I also find her very pretty esp.
now that she's brunette.
I can't wait! RAR.

Here's the trailer.
I'm pretty sure I'll cry in this movie.
I'm very emotional whenever
I watch romantic/sad/emo movies. :P

"
It's hard being left behind.
I wait for Henry, not knowing where he is,
wondering if he's okay.
It's hard to be the one who stays.

I keep myself busy.
Time goes faster that way.

I go to sleep alone, and wake up alone.
I take walks. I work until I'm tired.
I watch the wind play with the trash
that's been under the snow all winter.
Everything seems simple until you think about it.
Why is love intensified by absence? "

To Jay,
"
I love him, he's my life.
I've been waiting for him my whole life,
and now he's here.
With Henry, I can see everything laid out,
like a map,
past and future,
everything at once.."

Happy 20th To Me!

August 11, 2009 is officially over
and I am officially TWENTEEN years old. hahaha

Thank you so much for greeting me

in Facebook, in person,
and yeah, for all the text messages.
I won't say all the names,
but you know who you are. :)
Thank you thank you thank you
so much for making me happy on my special day.

Thank you TEAMFAB for an awesome
dinner and for celebrating my birthday with me;
even though we all have classes and work
tomorrow (or later :P).
And even though it did not end
the way I expected it to be. :'(
Thank you for the birthday wishes
and the mini-poster outside the door of 2105 . Hahaha
I love you all so much.
Thank you for believing and standing by my side
through all the times.
I wish Ara's here today. :(
Hugs! :P

Thank YOU for singing the
"Happy Birthday" song while I was presenting in class.
And yeah, for revealing how old I am now. Harhar

Thank YOU for showing me how much
you love me.
I'm sorry if I was busy lately that we seldom
see each other at home. :(
I love you and I just want to tell you
that I'm very thankful for all the support
you have given me.
I was not expecting anything
but you surprised me just by knocking at my door
this morning.
I just feel blessed and loved.

Thank YOU for just standing by my side
and for exerting so much effort
just to see me smile even if you live far.

Thank YOU for making this day
very UNFORGETTABLE.
I may be the biggest bitchessa you have ever known,
but I love you with all my heart.
I hope it's not too late.
I'm all yours. Please remember that. :'(

Thank you so much.
It's been another year of learning
and growing (I hope I did).
I wish after this day,
life would be so much better
and happier.

The Clock Is About To Strike Twelve

I feel giddy
anxious
scared
happy
sad
excited
overwhelmed

I don't know!!!

I'm a scared cat right now
because in less than 1 hour
I'm a teen no more.
I am officially an adult-
a woman saying hello to the big world.
Waaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!
I'm scared :((
Oh fudge.
No more excuses.
No more childish acts.
No more everything.
Haaayy..

On a good note,
I am now free to do whatever I want.
(As if I'm not hahaha)
Anyway, what I'm saying is
that I know I am more independent
and more aware of the reality now.
Just like the way a real woman should act-
Mature, independent, and practical

30 more minutes...
Happy 20th birthday to me :)

Best That You Can Bee

At last, we are now allowed to tell
the whole world what the event is all about.
Apparently, the dance mania
is just a strategy of Jollibee to be able to reach out
to people not only here in the Philippines,
but also people in different countries around the globe. :)

So anyway,
here's the story of the "mystery" event.
The La Salle Dance Company and the
Harlequin Theater Guild
were asked to audition in a VTR last July.
We were also asked to dance
to the tune of Jai Ho by Pussycat Dolls.

After a week or two,
ALMOST everyone got a text message
from the production of the said event, Stratworks.
We were asked to go to the rehearsals
and there they spilled all the glory details.
It was a campaign ad for the Regular Yum of Jollibee.
And I was so shocked to see 300+ people
in the rehearsal place.
Guess what?
We all danced together.
We just beat the record. Hahaha
The event was successful. :)
It should be!
After practicing 2 consecutive days (9pm-3am)
just to "perfect" the dance steps...

Anyhoooo, here's the video of our dance.

Note: The mall shoppers have no idea
about this event. Like what I said, this was
a top secret of Jollibee. :D
Btw, I'm the one wearing the black and white dress :P

Thank you so much Jollibee
for this opportunity.
I enjoyed the free food
and of course, this once in a lifetime experience-
to be part of a historical event.

Hello, 9am calltime! With Paula

While performing...
While waiting for the 1st performance
btw, we danced twice. 12:30pm and 4:30pm :)

Everyone was so sleepy after the 1st performance
All set for the 2d performance :)

Also, don't forget to check their website!

A Tribute To Our Late President Cory Aquino

The Woman We Loved Three Times-
a poem by Catrina Heart.

The night before the burial of late Pres.Cory,
we, La Salle Dance Company Jazz,
were asked to perform in the
Central Plaza of DLSU-M.

The dance piece was made a few hours before the show.
We were all anxious because
this is the first time we, dancers,
are going to do this. Haha :)

Anyway, I feel really blessed
to be able to dance for her.

Thank you so much, Sir Peter, for this dance.

Dancers: Nadine Baligod. Kim Javellana,
Katherine Barrios, and Gayle Penaranda

and of course...
The video of our dance.

Pain Is Never A Reason To Let Go

Don't lose hope. :(
No matter how bad people are to you
or no matter how much they degrade you,
be thankful that God made them to make
you a stronger person.

NEVER ever feel inferior nor
insignificant because you know you are beautiful
and unique in your own ways.
Stand tall and show them
who you really are and what you can do.
They have not seen it yet.
You're a good dancer.
Trust me. :)

I'll always be your "Atsi."
I'm here and I believe in you. :)
