hello jazz!

La Salle Dance Company- Jazz

My friends.
My inspiration.

My family.

This is one of the groups in the Cultural Arts Office of De La Salle University- Manila. LSDC-Jazz is now a semi-professional dance group. They perform jazz, modern dance, ballet genres, contemporary, and folk dance. They are also now well-known in the Arts Community of the Philippines which means that they get to dance in events with professional dancers around the country. I feel very honored and blessed to belong in this group.

I joined LSDC-Jazz last April 2008. I thought I would feel isolated since all of them know each other already. I was wrong. They treated and still treating me as if I'm not a new member of jazz. They are fun to be with, reliable and humble.

I was really afraid when I got a text message telling me to train with them. It is because I'm not in the right shape that time. I stopped my dance training for almost a year. I thought I might not be able to meet their standards. And of course, a lot of pressure because the choreographer is Sir Peter- one of the best/ respected/prominent dancers here in the Philippines.

Sir Peter trusted me and let me dance in LPEP 2K8, WiFi and Pepe Goes to Market. My performances turned out well, I guess. =) I may disappoint Sir sometimes, but I'm sure that sooner or later I would be the dancer that I aspire to be.
